Representatives of the Association have met and initiated cooperation with the Latvian Human Rights Centre to encourage compliance of the human rights of the victims in the initiated legal proceedings. The negotiations have emphasized the importance of compliance with the human rights for all persons from the European Economic Zone (EEZ) countries, which have suffered bodily or mental injuries in traffic accidents as well as other accidents, providing support and professional assistance in accordance with the purpose of the VPA, implementing the principles of equality and justice in all litigation instituted.

During the informative meeting with the Association of the Road Transporters presentation of the services provided by the Victim Protection Association was held to inform the members of the Association of the Road Transporters on receiving support and professional help for victims following traffic accidents.

At the end of the year, an extensive information campaign was organized, covering social services in Latvia's major cities and county centers, providing a detailed insight into the goals and services of the Association, as well as providing the Association’s free services to poor and socially vulnerable customers who have been in traffic accidents.

For the purpose of encouraging mutual cooperation a meeting with NRC “Vaivari” was organized and help on common information exchange for the victims of road traffic accidents, implementing the purpose of our Association in providing support and professional assistance.
